Description: 'Flame' is a medium-sized variety covered with double lilac-purple lacecap flowers (in acid soils, pink in alkaline soils) and intense green leaves.
Flowering time: June to September
Foliage: Deciduous
Size: Height and spread 1.25m
Position: Prefers partial or dappled shade and suitable for growing in pots and containers. Soil: Moist, well drained.
Pruning: Little needed. Cutting stems back in winter will remove next seasons flower buds so best avoided. Can cut off dead flowers down to the next leaf buds.
