Hydrangea macrophylla 'Sonnenstein'

Description: 'Sonnenstein' is a compact variety covered with soft-pink mophead flowers (in alkaline soils, light-blue in acid) and intense green leaves.
Flowering time: June to September
Foliage: Deciduous Size: Height and spread 1m
Position: Prefers partial or dappled shade and suitable for growing in pots and containers. Soil: Moist, well drained.
Pruning: Little needed. Cutting stems back in winter will remove next seasons flower buds so best avoided. Can cut off dead flowers down to the next leaf buds.
